LESLIE CHARD, PRESIDENT
Mr. Chard has a legal practice specializing in the creation and licensing of intellectual property and also serves as the President of WHDI LLC, a consortium working to establish a new wireless video standard. Mr. Chard has a long history of community development experience, having served on the board of several CDFIs in Chicago and in San Francisco. A Mission District resident and former board member of MyPath’s partner credit union, Mr. Chard was instrumental in the development of LifeSaver/SalvaVida, the first alternative payday loan program in San Francisco,and in the development of Bernal Bucks, a debit card program designed to support local businesses and non-profit organizations. Mr. Chard has served on the MyPath Board since 2010. Mr. Chard has a BS from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati.
ROHIT GERA, TREASURER
Mr. Gera is currently the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at Apple Leisure Group. He brings MyPath deep experience in growth strategy design and implementation, product development and economic value measurement methodology, largely in the financial and investment services sectors. Mr. Gera also brings experience applying these approaches in the nonprofit sector. He has a BBA from Bernard M. Baruch College and an MBA from Duke University. Mr. Gera is a resident of New York City and has served on the MyPath Board since 2016.
KIMBERLY JOHNSON, MEMBER
Ms. Johnson is currently the Director of Communications at the James Irvine Foundation. She brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications to her role as MyPath’s newest Board member. Prior to joining the Irvine Foundation, Ms. Johnson was a strategy and communications consultant to nonprofits and unions. She also served as a Director on the Learning Team at Spitfire, a public interest communications firm with a focus on building the strategic communications capacity of nonprofit and foundation staff. She is a San Francisco resident and graduated from The University of Arizona with a BA in communications. Ms. Johnson joined the MyPath Board of Directors in 2021.
